Piper’s no stranger to motorcycle clubs. She ran from that life several years ago and has no desire to go back. Only the life came looking for her in the form of a gorgeous, massive man they call Ender.
Ender is the cleanup guy. The guy who fixes sh#t when it’s broken. When he’s sent to retrieve the sexy hothead, he gets more than he’s bargained for.
She’s no wallflower and during her years away, she’s learned new skills making her lethal. But Ender is just as good at his job and he’ll get her back home, hog-tied if he has to.
There’s only one problem. The more time he spends with her road tripping across the country, the more he wants her in his bed. The patch that marks her as taken, however, belongs to another, his best friend and brother. And a man’s got to live by a code, one he can’t break.
She hates him for what he represents and his cold demeanor. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want one night to see if the man behind the mask lives up to his reputation. For her survival, she’s determined to break him and his code. It might be her only means of escape. And if she’s honest, the sooner she can get away the better because her heart is getting lost in him too.
RIDE OR DIE: Piper up and left the MC life many years ago and since then she’s been living under the radar, not getting too comfortable in one place, living in disguise, until all that changed when one hot assed male chased her down and is now taking her back home under duress on his motorbike.
He had a fuckload of ink down the sleeves of his arms and metal bolts in his eyebrow and ear, the combination of which made him kind of beautiful in a dangerous way.
So much mystery surrounds Piper, her past is clouded in darkness, a past she tried to outrun. It only took a little digging and she was found, now she's kicking and screaming on the back of a bike, destination, back to where she ran from.
Any chance she gets she makes an escape. A game of cat and mouse.
He turned out to be better at being a predator than she was at surviving being prey.
I thought this would be just another mundane biker book, the dark, the grit which I tend to one click but this is so unique in the fact that it didn't follow that mass market, it sticks out in a league of it's own.
I'm a cover hoe, so dangle a hot tatted up male, throw in that he's a biker and I'm the first to sign up for that shit, but I am so glad the story carried it's own.
I was captivated as soon as I started this, and you'll be hard pressed to find a leading female character as tough as Piper, she can hold her own and take down any man, size doesn't matter, she also has a soft side tending towards Mother Teresa that comes out now and then when she lends a helping hand to woman in need.
