Once upon a time....There was a superhero with fiery-red hair. Some people described the colour of her hair as scarlet. She had an upturned nose with freckles all across it. In her village she was known as The Red Raven...In the same village as Red Raven lived a boy. A boy who had a past that no one knew of... This is their story...

‘LOGAN:’ is the second book within the ‘Preston Brothers’ series by Jay Mclean. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ Even though this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone though characters do cross over you can keep up with the happenings in this book.

I am so glad Jay gave us Logan’s story, his is the one I was most anticipating, and couldn’t wait to read. Logan Preston is the middle child, the high school drop out, and who everyone seems to have an opinion about, the man-whore, and stoner around town. He’s the only one in the family that’s coasting through life, no direction, no ambition to want to do anything with this life other than getting high. Week days he works alongside his father in the family business in construction, weekends he parties too hard and gets high off his face. But what no one knows is that Logan is harbouring a deep, dark, secret that not even his family knows, getting high of mary stops the memories flooding his mind.

They consume him, destroy him, control him.

I inhale and inhale and chop. lick and roll, chop, lick and roll just so I can inhale and inhale some more.

When I smoke, I sleep through the night. When I smoke, I never have regrets. When I smoke, I am weightless. Not just physically, but mentally.

"One day.." Aubrey whispers.
"I'll be your Mary, Logan. I'll be the one to take away your pain."

Everything changes when a new girl comes to town (Aubrey aka Red) with the fiery redder than red hair, with just a suitcase and an inheritance she moves into a house she’d never viewed, licking wounds left on her soul from vicious words spoken by an ex. But slowly she's pulled into the Preston fold, and the lonely girl who walked into town turns into a girl loved by a family of Preston's.

These two rub each other the wrong way, “You look like a leprechaun.” “You smell like a venereal disease.” but slowly just slowly they rub each other the right way, she sees beyond the lost damaged stoner.

God where to start, this definitely put me through the wringer and had me questioning my sanity because one minute I’d be swooning, laughing, sighing and in the next heart beat I’d have leaky eye syndrome. Logan’s story isn’t full of unicorns farting glitter, it’s raw, it's emotional, it’s unconventional, it’s heartbreaking, this had me feeling every emotion this author threw at me with Logan’s story. This is not an easy book to read, it's not sugar coated, it's real, it's disturbing, it's addictive, epicly unputdownable in it's entirety.

Jay became one of my most highly recommended authors when it comes to recommending books that throw the feels at you, no one compares!! #QUEENOFFEELS!! If you're wanting a feels good to read series that is unputdownable get one clicking this author's MORE series, you can not find any other author that throws us emotionally charged books like these. This series also comes highly recommended!!

As a kid, Logan Preston was a brat.
Through his teens, he became the bad boy.
Now, at nineteen, no one knows what the hell to expect.

High school dropout, Logan Preston is a
good-for-nothing stoner.
A black sheep.
A disappointment.
The worst Preston Punk of the lot.
At least that’s how everyone in his small town
makes him feel.
But Logan Preston has secrets.
Secrets so dark and so deep below the surface that the only way he can fight them is to stay high, high, high.
He wears cockiness as a mask.
Arrogance as his armor.
Until one girl, one night, asks one life-changing question:
What's beneath the bravado, Logan Preston?
