♕ REVIEW ♕ ARC ♕ LOOK THE PART BY JEWEL E. ANN

TITLE: Look the Part

GENRE:  Romance
PUBLICATION: January 29th, 2018

LOOK THE PART: is a full length standalone contemporary romance novel by Jewel E. Ann. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’

The ‘Prologue’ grabbed my attention straight away, a birthday celebration ended tragically, a man left broken and shattered. A man locked in the past even though ten years have gone by he's still paying for the sins of his past.

In this we meet thirty five year old Flint Hopkins, a hot uptight lawyer with a long suffering assistant Amanda that gets fired on a daily basis, Flint is a single father to twelve year old mildly autistic son Harrison and landlord to Ellen Rodgers.

Thirty two recently divorced Ellen has just not long moved to Minneapolis and is a musical therapist who has just signed a lease with Flint to rent the space above his lawyers office, but the noise drifting downstairs drives Flint batshit crazy.

“She's a music therapist, Flint. Please tell me you assumed music would be involved? Otherwise, I'm embarrassed for you.”
Bang...Bang...Bang...Bang...Bang...Bang
“This isn't going to work.”
“But seriously...you have to tell me what you thought a music therapist does.”
“Comfy sofas and relaxing music played through noise-cancelling headphones.”
She smirks “You should have done an internet search.Lots of videos showing exactly what happens at a music therapist's office. I'm a little surprised this one slid by you.”

With the ink has barely dried on her tenants agreement and he’s issuing an eviction notice. But the only problem is, his son has taken a shine to Ellen.

And so their story begins...Numerous eviction threats, and that never ending push and pull on your heart strings will have you hooked on this story in no time.

I went into this not really knowing what to expect, but having read one other by this author previously which I loved my expectations were high. Those expectations were met tenfold, this was such a unique, laugh out loud, swoon worthy, all the feels, I want this life book!! There is NOTHING (rats included *Shudders*) that I would've changed about this book. I lost count the amount of times I giggled reading this, such a light hearted feels good to escape to giggles galore land.
I also lost my heart to Harry, god I loved what popped out of his mouth, I really really wish he gets his own story just for shits and giggles.

Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office.

All the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted on Ellen’s application. Her references are good. And she’s easy on the eyes.

Until …

Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers, Board-Certified Music Therapist, plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing—not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones.

The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly humming redhead who's too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen’s side when Flint’s autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her. A single dad can’t compete with guitars—and rats. Yes, she has pet rats.

This woman …

She’s annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch him—adjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind.

Still …

She must go.

Their lust-hate relationship escalates into something beautiful and tragic. This sexy, romantic-comedy explores the things we want, the things we need, and the impossible decisions parents and children make to survive
