Is the first full length dark romance book in the Feral Boys of Westpoint series by new to me author Haven Snow. Spoken in 'Dual POV's. In this you'll meet Caius & Ophelia.
Well this definitely got me out of that week long drought of a funk I’d been in…I'd picked up many books only to put them down again.

Welcome to Westpoint Academy. This had the usual secret society bullshit, the slight bullying, the stalking, the claiming, the obsession, the hunt, nothing new which hasn't been done before. But it did pull me out of a funk I'd found myself in so points for that.. This definitely had some of my favorite tropes which I seek out, bully, secret society, enemies to lovers, and hot boy stalker.
There's set rules which the 'Five sons' (Colton, Caius, Rhett, Bam & Julian) have to follow in order to keep this tradition alive, breed, then pass on the first son to the society so that the bloodline can carry on with this old tradition. The chosen girls are nothing but pieces on a chessboard. Property, Breeders, Wives.
Caius is the leader of 'The Feral Boys,' their duty is to break the chosen girl (and not before) on the night of the hunt, (from dusk till dawn). If he doesn't claim her that night, he will be hunted and she will simply disappear.
Ophelia was sold to the Academy due to a dept her father incurred during gambling. If she survives 'The Hunt' his dept will be cleared and Ophelia will be Caius'. She didn't play the damsel in distress part, she was all brimstone and spitfire, she wasn't one to break easily. And Caius' definitely had his work cut out for him.
I don't know how 'The Board' knew she'd be my poison, how her curvy little body would seep into my veins, but they did.
He quickly becomes a man obsessed, no matter what he throws at her, she doesn't yield to his command. Her willpower and strength is what he loves about her.
The rules are simple. Claim the girl. Do it before sunrise. Do it in a place where everyone can see. Make it entertaining, or it doesn't count. If she cries, bonus points. If she fights, better.
I liked how things between them changed after the hunt, that has me invested enough to have me grabbing the next book to see how he does things.
