I'd had my eyes on this since day one, grabbed it many moons ago and jumped right in and couldn't put it down...
These two were perfectly imperfect, but together they were perfection, their broken parts meshed as two soul mates meant to be together. I couldn’t imagine them with anyone else.
This ticked all of my boxes and then some, dark, gritty, enemies to lovers, the angst was perfection, the fields soaked in crimson blood of their fallen comrades, the bullying, the slow burn, even those feels that I couldn’t escape.
This is the first book I’ve kind of read like this and it definitely won’t be my last.
I need more like it..I need more like these two characters.
If you like a tough as nails heroine, look no further than Nell, she had bigger balls than most male characters I’ve read. I loved all her broken pieces.
Don’t get me started on Bones, our hot masked MMC, he was a d*ck at times in the beginning of the book, but delve deeper into those chapters and he protected the ones he loved. And towards the end I kind of forgave his shortcomings.

{ I can understand why some may not enjoy this one, these two do get close, he's perfected that push and pull, so a lot of that does occur, no commitment is spoken of, they get captured and he professes that he loves her, she denies her feelings to save him, but does stay with her captor (background history here, once were lovers, that become lovers again) many moons and years go by and a second chance romance is born again between Bones and Nell. }
