Runaways . . .
You’ve heard about kids running away, but do we ever truly know why they run?
Rae and Law had no choice. Forced to run when life let them down, when it was either leave or be subjected to an unimaginable fate.
Can they survive?
Two young people, completely alone on the streets with nothing but each other.
This is their story.
Can love win?
Or will the big, bad world be even more cruel than what they had to face in their small hometown?
For Raelynn Sanders and Lawson Davis, anything is possible as long as they have each other.
Trigger Warning: this book deals with sensitive topics such as verbal and physical assault/intimidation. There is no rape, but some uncomfortable situations are mentioned and occur on page.

'My Review'
📚RUNAWAYS 📚
Is a full length romance book by Nicole Dykes. Spoken in 'Dual perspectives with an HEA.'
This took me a wee while to get into, I went from liking it to loving it with the feels rushing at me, and that was when the storyline took the the name of the title and they became runaways.
We're first introduced to Raelynn aka Rae her first day as a freshman, new school, new crowd, new to Texas where her mother is newly married to Rae's principle. Straight away she's met with animosity, singled out as the snobby rich girl and it's not until Lawson takes her under his wing that people start to accept her.
'𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭...𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲.
𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬.'
Both have questionable parents, his mum loves the booze more, her mum loves her step-father more, but Lawson's lucky as he's got an older brother Nash, who has taken care of him at an early age and wants him to make something of himself and not be stuck in a dead end job in a town they both hate.
Rae's mother is all about status, she doesn't love, protect or care about Rae like a true mother should.
When Rae approaches her mother concerning the questionable way her stepfather talks down to her, degrades her, touches her, her mother doesn't want to hear about it.
When things escalate at home Rae takes matters into her own hands and runs away, Lawson also takes off with a bounty on his head, no money to their names. And Life is hard.
Until they meet an angel in disguise, a teenage boy who teaches them street smart, it's not long when
they meet their own tribe which take them under their wings unconditionally.
