Whatever this author writes.. I will read..No matter how deep a funk has sunk its claws into me, this author always pulls me out of it..And this book did exactly that, it pulled me in and hit me with the feels straight away, this is the Jewel E Ann I love, where her quirky sense of humor is haphazardly thrown into the pages of her stories.
As soon as these two met they had that insta attraction thing going on. He'd moved into the same building as her, happy go lucky kind of guy, opening his own slogan tee-shirt shop until he decided what he wanted to do with his life.
And Anna works at a bouldering gym.
Eric was just about perfect, until he opened his mouth and words that popped out were not the ones she was hoping for, it all happened over a book, a book she loved, and the others within the book club did too going by their feedback, until it came to him, and his opinion on it made him appear not so perfect, where the books had souls and every cutting word would destroy the characters in her perfect fictional world.

Like a dog with a bone, Anna just couldn't/wouldn't let it go, and for a while admittedly she got the stink eye often from me, until it's revealed why she got her back up, why her reaction to his words affected her how they did. And his words had a domino effect.
In my eyes he was utter perfection, he had me giggling and loving the unexpectedness of him. Admittedly Anna kind of got my back up, here she had the almost perfect guy, but trust in this author and like me you'll end up liking her too.
