༺✿ 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 ༺✿ Things We Never Got Over by 'Lucy Score.'

TITLE: THINGS WE NEVER GOT OVER
AUTHOR: LUCY SCORE
GENRE: SMALL TOWN | ROMANCE
PUBLICATION: JANUARY 13TH, 2022
Synopsis
Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon. Knox doesn’t tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride.

Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way…with fists and beer. Usually in that order.

Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn’t know she had. Now she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of.

There’s a reason Knox doesn’t do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.

At least, that’s the plan until the trouble turns to real danger.
My Review
In true Julia Roberts fashion we have a runaway bride, turning up out of the blue in a small town to rescue her sister once again. Naomi was the good twin, a people pleaser but sometimes that came with a heavy weight on her shoulders. She was faultlessly a fixer, an organiser, but when her life went careening out of kilter she was floundering in a city where everyone hated her 'Not Tina' but in true Naomi fashion it didn't take her long to win over the whole town.

Knox, holy heck this guy was all kinds of hot, he was grumpy to the core, but delve deeper and he was a knight in shining armour with a soft heart to boot. When he cared he went all in. Don't let his demeanour fool you. Delve under those layers of his and you couldn't help but connect fully with his character. He had me giggling, swooning, and loving all his wrongs.

Since the release day of this book or even before that I'd lost count of the amount of times this book had found its way on my newsfeed, so without second guessing it I took that plunge and one clicked it, went in completely blind, being that it was a new to me author, I didn't know what to expect.

But I came out at the end of this book with a heart full to bursting with the love I felt reading this, I've never fallen so hard or so fast for characters before, I've never wanted to go from reading an ebook edition to wanting to buy it in hardcover format. From that first page, I was hooked, and I never lost that connection with this story, this was one of a kind small town romance with so many hot men thrown into the mix that I wanted to stay in this town forever. Our hero and heroine were perfectly imperfect, but perfectly suited for each other and I can't wait to read the next book by this author.

If any of you readers have read this author and have loved her pervious books which book should I try next?
