Zara is a twenty six year old emergency dispatcher so it’s only right that we're thrown into a mystery surrounding a 911 call “911. What is your emergency?” that was put through to her as she tries to calm down a wee boy going through a terrifying ordeal.
To a consistently ringing phone outside of her apartmentOver and over again, the phone rings, and it rings, and rings, the sound like a drum pounding in my bloodstream, a hammer coming down on top of my head, the impact jarring me down to my bones.upon further debate when she's reached breaking point she picks up that payphone, a voice on the other end has her seeking out answers at a midnight fair. All interconnected to the mystery surrounding that 911 emergency call.
It's at the midnight fair in a disused subway station is where Zara has gone to get answers when she claps eyes on the hot stud that is Pasha The guy was more than hot. He was f#cking beautiful. Not in a feminine way. Beautiful in a savage, rough, raw masculine way. whose a cage fighter by night, a man who was banished from his tribe for a crime he committed three years ago and now owns a thriving tattoo shop he built from the ground up leaving his legacy behind.
These two have never clapped eyes on the other before but there is a familiarity between them, you see these two have been connected to each other subconsciously for years in their dreams.
So here I sit after reading this, trying to comprehend what I'd just read, nothing made sense, so many unanswered questions, so much mystery and suspense with so many loose ends wondering how the author is going to pull it all together in the next instalment has me begging like many others for that next book. This was completely unique, confusing at times but kept me racing through the pages seeking my answers, this does end on a cliffy which just adds to the thrill of this story.
