My Review

'M𝐈N𝐃 𝐌A𝐙E' Is the second full length dark book in the (Crowne Conspiracy) series by author K. Webster. Spoken in dual perspectives. Caius Crowne and Romy Langston

After that jaw dropping cliffy in the previous book, this had been a book I'd been anticipating and couldn't wait to jump back into the mindf#ckery and twisted mind games the Crowne family play..

What to Expect in Mind Maze:

This picks up right where the previous book left off (and that brutal cliff hanger). Within the early hours of the morning I closed out of that last page hoping that sleep would finally claim me, but still I laid awake trying to piece together all that I'd read but like an incomplete puzzle 🧩 I couldn't comprehend where this book had taken me. The author definitely nailed the title for this book. So many twists and turns, manipulation and brainwashing at the core of the story. Definitely check your triggers before jumping into this one as it does delve into some heavy topics.

In the previous book I'd struggled to connect with Caius Crowne, not really knowing his agenda and where he stood with things, he was cold, standoffish and hard to get a read on, but this book he finally won my heart, these two were becoming tangled up in their fake relationship where truth and lies stood hand in hand and obsession was hard to shake, even though these two didn't have a typical first meet, in this book you could really see how well matched they were.

My heart felt so sorry for Romy, everyone who she loved dearly in life had manipulated her, but her mind has never been as clear as it is now and like a game of chess as she strategically moves the pieces around in her mind she knows she's getting closer to uncovering everything her world has strived to hide.

And like the previous book, this also ends in a cliffy.
