Forbidden fruit never tasted this sweet…

The world knows Samantha Brooks as the violin prodigy. She guards her secret truth—the desire she harbors for her guardian.

Liam North got custody of her six years ago. She’s all grown up now, but he still treats her like a child. No matter how much he wants her.

No matter how bad he aches for one taste.

Her sweet overtures break down the ex-soldier’s defenses, but there’s more at stake than her body. Every touch, every kiss, every night. The closer she gets, the more exposed his darkest secret.

She’s one step away from finding out what happened the night she lost her family. One step away from leaving him forever.

’OVERTURE’ is the first novel in a brand new series from New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren. This is ‘Samantha Brooks and her guardian Liam North’s’ story. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives.’

Forbidden fruit never tasted this sweet… He's sixteen years older than her, she's his guardian. Things were bound to get HOT HOT HOT!!

Nearly eighteen year old Samantha is a famous child prodigy and within a matter of weeks she’ll be graduating high school and will be taking the world by storm touring around the country and across the globe.

❝ Some people say the violin is like a limb, but it's more than that.
It's my heart...My soul.❞

Liam never thought his life would be like it is today, he’d never for starters planned to have children, but that’s not how his story goes, he was given sole custody of then twelve year old Samantha. A absent mother, and a brother who didn't want the responsibility, a father whom had died was how two utter strangers became a family.

But there's a secret here that Liam is not divulging that surrounds her father, but like all secrets they do tend to come out in the end.

The only reason why this didn't get my 5 star rating was the fact that I wanted a more of a taboo aspect to the story, I wanted to be pushed out of my comfort zones, I wanted that giddy feeling of not wanting to read but not wanting to stop, that feeling never came, for me it didn't really go full out taboo.

Though a kiss was exchanged when she was on the cusp of turning eighteen. That was the catalyst that brought both their feelings to the forefront of their attraction to each other.

It does end on a semi cliffy which has me like anything wanting the next book.
