'BURNOUT'
is a full length standalone, taboo, teacher, brother's best-friend romance novel by Author Coralee June. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
After reading this it definitely cemented the fact that I need to read more by this author because I really enjoyed this one so much! If you’ve not read this or are debating about one clicking I highly recommend! This was such a unique, wonderful, feels all the feels kind of story.
This wasn't just a forbidden romance story it had so many elements to it, I absolutely loved these characters, though I would’ve loved to learn more about Decker..In no time at all he became the perfect book boyfriend material, he was purely selfless and protective of those he cared about and loved freely and fiercely of ones that broke down his barriers.
Eighteen year old Blakely had just recently lost her mama to cancer, she'd left behind a beat up car, a phone number and a name, Lance. This was how she'd learn't that she had a step brother out there somewhere.
One death, One phone call, One offer to move here and start over.
Lance offered that she come live with him so that they can get to know each other which will also enable her to get on her feet. When she arrives, she first meets Decker, her brother's best friend, and also his temporary roommate. Straight off the bat he claims she's up to no good, his animosity oozes out of his pores.
"I did my homework, saw your mom's rap sheet. I don't know you, but I do know that Lance has worked fucking hard to get where he's at. If I think-for even a second-that you're here to cause trouble? I'll have you gone like that."
He had her pegged all wrong..She was nothing like her mamma, Blakely hadn't had it easy, growing up poor in a trailer park, and a mama that didn't give a shit about her, Blakely had worked hard to get good grades knowing that, that would be her perfect escape.
Decker is insanely attracted to Blakely but he knows that anything between them is forbidden because she's now a student at the school he teaches at, He's her ultra hot biology teacher, this could destroy everything he's ever worked for let alone his friendship with her brother.
Even writing up this review all the feels came rushing back!! Highly recommend!!
