Is a full length mature YA/Romance novel by Carmen Jenner. Spoken in Dual POV's. In this we meet Styx Hendricks & Alaska Stone...Both have cancer...
5 LONER BOY STARS
I haven’t read a book by this author in a while so I basically signed up blind, I didn’t even read the synopsis 🙈and I begged her to not make me cry!! For the record, yes, I cried!! This was such a sad, emotional, utterly and completely beautiful soul crushing story. I giggled, I cried, I loved, and even though I’m emotionally exhausted I’m glad I read this one..Very few authors can delve deep enough to bring out my emotions but Carmen did it with these two characters story effortlessly.
Styx has a rare form of cancer, he'd beat it once in life but it came back full force, now his survival rate is diminishing day by day...He has a wicked sense of humour towards the cancer that's eating away at his body, plays the cancer card often, and basically gives cancer the middle finger it deserves!! F#ck Cancer!!
Alaska has just recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Walking into her first chemo session the last person Styx expected to see walk through that door was Stones..It's during her first chemo session that these two form a bond. If I didn't get cancer, I would've never uttered a word to him. Styx has watched Stones from afar, she attends the same highschool, and she's the girl he's crushed on since seventh grade and now has cancer just like him..
