My Review
'THE LIFE THAT MATTERED'
is the first full length romance book in Jewel E, Ann's 'Life Duet' series. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
God what has this author done to me!! First she threw a curveball at me that changed the whole plot of the story, a wtf did I just read moment, yep one of those moments, then to top that off she decided hmmmm I've not finished playing with you yet then threw me over a cliffy!! God this cliffy was a doozy!! I have questions godamnit!! I need answers now!! Argghhh!!

This book took me on such an incredible, indescribable journey. I am dumbfounded, in awe, I basically have no words and have no f#cking idea how to write up this review.
This author always brings us those unique unicron reads, ones that we hold dear to our hearts, ones that can't be topped. She is part of the reason why I love reading as much as I do.
All I can really say is go into this blind, and fall under this authors spell. An unconventional love story. 4 lives interwoven.
It kicks starts us off in 'The prologue' which was six years in the future. I found this part weird and confusing as I couldn't connect the dots and still don't understand why that was included.
We meet our heroine Evelyn a 34-year-old vacationing in Vancouver with her two besties Lila and Graham, always feeling like the third wheel when this trio get together she decides to leave these two love birds at it whilst she takes a breather and stumbles across the Bubble Tea Cafe. It's here she meets meets our hero 35-year-old Ronin, they strike up a carefree conversation and realize they are both from Aspen. It's where he'll be based at his new job as a ski patrol.
A mere two weeks go by and Ronin makes a visit to the bath and body shop Evelyn owns.
And things from that point onwards between them go full steam ahead.
