ღ 𝐀𝐑𝐂 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 ღ The Sixteenth Need by Calia Read

TITLE: THE SIXTEENTH NEED
AUTHOR: CALIA READ
GENRE: ROMANCE
PUBLICATION: MAY 25TH, 2023
Synopsis
My sin...

My addiction...

Before Samson McShane, I was merely Sable Cole, the oldest daughter of our town's druggie. Multiple eyes were on me, watching my every action—waiting for me to mess up.

When I met Samson, we couldn’t be more different yet he became my escape. He took me out of the protective shell I created for myself and showed me what it meant to be free.

Our lives would drift apart.

I saw him, clashed with him, and loved him sixteen times.

My past should have shown me the error in loving him. It never did.

Samson McShane was my sin and my addiction. He was my sixteenth need.
My Review

Is a full length small town romance book by Calia Read. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.' Jumps from 'present to past' HERO: Samson HEROINE: Sable

This book was filled with hours and hours of wanting, needing to get to the end to see how it all unfolded. Until I did. And the tears came freely, their HEA was well deserved, but it was heart wrenching closing that last page and saying goodbye to characters that have a slice of my heart.

'Sable aged 18' We could all find a small piece of ourselves in Sable, and that's what made her so relatable, being the eldest sibling she had the world on her shoulders, a druggy/drunk of a mother, the siblings (Alba 17, Maren 16 & Lennon 14,) only had each other to reply on when a town had turned their backs on them. The sins of the mother became the girls crosses to bare. Living in a run down trailer, dressing in goodwill clothes, working to just keep the leaky roof over their heads, these siblings were made of tough stuff.

All sable was living for was seeing the trailer park in her rear view mirror as she drove away to college, but leaving her siblings behind was the hardest thing she would ever have to face.

'Sam' This boy knew from the start how special Sable was, it all started when she became his tutor, he had her back throughout, even when he didn't know how bad things were for her he was always her constant. The jock who would take the town on to just protect the girl he had fallen for.

This was so beautifully written, I loved all the characters and pray that we get more of these two as they go onto college and then I hope we get each sisters books, because they too all have a piece of my heart. All the feels!

I need, crave, want more!!

The only small niggle I have with this book is the past and present/ I wish it had've just started from the past and worked up to the present, some parts I just wanted to stay in that present moment into the next chapter but it would flit back to the past. Other than that this book was one of my favourites by this author.
