Is the first full length romance book within the (Sabre Security) series by author J. Rose.
Spoken in Multiple POV's. Ends in a cliffy.
After having my eye on this for a while, picking up and putting down numerous others that couldn’t keep my attention I decided to bump this one up and jump in, and I’m so glad I took that plunge.
Straight away I was pulled in
A little bit gritty
A little bit dark.
I loved how this book played out, like a puzzle, piece by piece we were given snippets of Harlow’s captivity, held captive for thirteen years by pastor Michaels, taken in broad daylight at the age of nine as she walked home from school, she's been abused, tortured, many others didn’t survive, butchered right beside her own cage.
Harlow does manage to escape, making her the only living survivor for this very reason she's placed under the care of these four men.
Hunter: Is the fearless groups leader, highly intelligent, goodlooking, glacial, completely deaf in his right ear
Enzo: He's second in command and Hunters best friend. the brawn to his brains, the emotional one out of the group.
Theo: Is the groups tech guy, he can hack into any system. He's awkward, prefers to be behind a computer and wrapped up in textbooks, rather than surrounding himself with people.
Leighton: You always have that one clown within a group, lighthearted and carefree, he loves his trash tv, along with his trash food, is a huge fan of friends, and even though he's done a stint in prison he's not all dark and moody like one would expect.
Harlow is way stronger than she gives herself credit for, I have a few question marks where she's concerned, Harlow was the name given to her by her captives, why not change it? Why was she saved above all the others, Why is she so important to Pastor Michael? Others were sexually abused and she wasn't? She ended one life, did she end others?

The men are all so different, each have little broken pieces within themselves.
Until her
Piece by piece, bit by bit she puts them back together again. Things are slowly building up/heating up between her and these guys, you can feel it simmering in the background.
These guys are the best at what they do, running a top notch private security investigators who are tracking down one of Britain's most notorious serial killers who has butchered eighteen young girls. The victims come from working class backgrounds.
So this does end on a cliffy, bonus the others are out in the wide world. Byyyyeeeeeee. I'm off to start the next book!! I need answers to all my questions!!

After that crappy cliffy in the previous book with her father turning up on the guys doorstep I needed answers!! So without pausing I dived straight into this one.
This picked up right where the previous book left off. Both parents at odds, one discrediting the other, which one do you believe?
I had my theories. I’d kind of guessed what had transpired with Harlow’s kidnapping and who was responsible, but it still came with a few twists I didn’t see coming.
Twists and turns which left me gasping in there wake.
And so their journey continues, Harlow, Leighton, Hunter, Enzo, & Theo slowly coming into the fold at his own pace.
Harlow is still irrevocably broken, pulled in every direction, self harming to block out the terrors, the guys are her saviour, each at their own pace claiming her, loving her.
Hunter has a few obstacles he has to overcome in this one as he pushes those he loves away, barely communicating, barely holding on by a thread.
But still even after all this time with them trying to chase down the serial killer pastor Michaels is still free, but we have more background info about this guy and where it all started. Now it's just a case of putting all the pieces together.
Hurrying off to one click the next book to see how it all unravels.

And so our heroine Harlow, and her heros Hunter, Leighton Enzo & Theo's story continues in this last installment. It's not a pretty read, the characters come out more battle scarred more than ever.
This was such a solid series and it just solidifies the need for me to read more by this author, this series just got better and better with each book, this was gritty enough for my dark little heart to keep me invested throughout.
A game of cat and mouse ensued as they hunted down the elusive serial killer Michael Abaddon, always one step ahead of them, finding himself allies to carry out his work. More bodies turn up. More innocents lives cut short.
And throughout Harlow is growing into a strong woman, healing and emerging from her chrysalis. She's overcome so much to get to where she is today, the glue that holds them all together.
I am so sad that this series has come to an end and I have to say goodbye to this crazy world and these characters that slowly crept into my heart.
