Synopsis
MEET BOOKTOK'S LATEST OBSESSION . . . DARK, FUNNY AND SUPER SPICY, CAN YOU HANDLE THE RIDE?
I want someone with a soul as black as night. Someone who would burn the world down for me and not lose a single minute of sleep over it.
Trauma nurse Aly escapes her hard-working days by thirsting after masked men online. To her, nothing could top the fantasy of her favorite tattooed and masked man hunting her down. But she never could have guessed that one drunken text would turn those dreams into reality . . .
I want things most people don't, craving darkness and depravity instead of light and love.
Josh has spent his life avoiding the limelight, but his online persona is another story. At night, he posts masked thirst traps for his millions of fans, until one follower catches his eye: Aly.
Together, Aly and Josh live out their darkest fantasies, unaware that Aly has captured the attention of someone with far more sinister intentions. As Josh turns from predator to protector, he must ask himself how far he'll go for the woman he can't live without.
Lights Out is a fast-paced dark romance with a morally grey male lead. Some themes and scenes may be disturbing to readers. Please check the content warning at the beginning of the book.

My Review
First 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star read of 2025!!
I had so much fun reading this, I have never laughed as much as I did..
These two were perfection and I couldn’t imagine a better fit for them.
'𝐋I𝐆H𝐓S O𝐔T' Is the first full length stalker romance book within the (Into Darkness) series by new to me author Nevessa Allen.
This book right here has been going INSANE on my IG newsfeed, I've been tagged to read it, begged to read it, I caved, purchased a copy, now I'm FINALLY I jumped in...
Annd If this sucks you b%tches better run...
I tiptoed into this one not really sure what to expect, so I was pleasantly surprised with how fast I fell down that rabbit hole of time ceasing to exist, this pulled me under so fast, I got hooked by this author's words, her humour, she’d created such a unique, unpredictable, unputdownable book which I didn’t want to end and I’m so happy the author shared this with the world.
The story surrounds trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci bored with her vanilla sex life and finding herself drawn to the darker kinkier side of things she stumbles across men wearing masks online, one especially caught her eye with the handle 'the faceless man' who stood out amongst the rest and whom she became obsessed with. Clicking that follow button and leaving comments all over his uploaded videos. '𝙷𝚎𝚛 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚍 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚍𝚘𝚠𝚗𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚌𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚘𝚞𝚜.' it doesn't take long for the 'Masked man' to notice her.
'𝙸𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚘𝚞𝚜 𝙰𝚕𝚢 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚘 𝚠𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚊 𝚖𝚊𝚜𝚔𝚎𝚍 𝚖𝚊𝚗 𝚠𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜.'
Annnnd so it begins.
I don't want to wreck the story for ones who've not read this, so I'm going to leave my review here, you need to read this, it's hilarious, it's sexy, it's got some curveballs thrown in and like me you'll also fall for 'The faceless man.' I loved him, from his insecurities, his humor, his cat and mouse games, his stalking and befriending a cat.
* Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure I'd even seen someone had crocheted this cover into a blanket*
