My Review
From the gorgeous cover, the blurb, to the author, as soon as it hit publish, I hit purchase.
RATING: 3.5 stars
I’m conflicted with this one so I’ll have to review it in two half’s, the first half was slow going and made for some rough reading because I was floundering and not fully focused and not wanting to DNF I pushed through.
[So it comes to light that before our heroine, he was already married, as soon as she came into the picture he divorced her, but she still resides in his mansion. Confusing π€·♀️ yes it was..it’s complicated..
BUT carry on reading, and that all makes sense, (kind of) so breaking it down, that also was a marriage of convenience, (of a sorts) breaking it down even more, they didn’t do anything, from kissing to anything else. With our heroine it’s a completely different story, he’s all in.
He wanted our heroine before he even came on her radar.

The second half was where it started pulling me in, a few little bombs were dropped, he was a man possessed and fell head over heels within a heartbeat. She was the little brat that pushed his buttons to smithereens. If we could've flipped the story I would've been pulled in from the get go, I needed that angst the second part threw at me, I did enjoy the too and fro these two had going on, and the sweet soft side to Enzo, those little things (and not so little things) he did for her made my heart go gooey.
I didn't hate this book, but I also didn't love it, I just needed to be pulled in straight away for me to enjoy what I'm reading, and sadly this didn't do that (for me)..Especially when if you pull the book apart and the second half is where things started picking up, that took slow burn to a whole new level.
