TITLE: The Fall
AUTHOR: Prescott Lane
GENRE: Romance
PUBLICATION: March 6th, 2018
THE FALL: Is a full length standalone romance novel by new to me author Prescott Lane. Told in Pierce’s POV
In this we meet thirty year old Pierce Kingston owner of a small lucrative boutique hotel in New Orleans, called the Kingston. He’s been ordained by the courts to attend therapy against his will I might add, a discretion that’s coming back to bite him in the butt.
If we were talking about his sexual endeavours he speaks very highly of himself, his fuck resume reads as follows:
Experience: Long and extensive
Objective: Making woman come hard and often
Skills: Dirty talk, oral and manual stimulation
Qualifications: Vast knowledge of the g-spot, and a huge cock I know how to use
Goals: Never been married. Don’t want to be. Never been in love. Not gonna happen.
Pierce is an arrogant man whore who avoids emotional attachments at all costs with the woman he beds, but outside of them he is very close to his childhood friend Annie who has been by his side through the ups and downs of his childhood. She's seen him at his best and at his worst.
During one of his therapy sessions he's been challenged to partake in a sex diet, no partaking in any sexual activities for thirty days. Each day like a diary entrance we get front row seats as he explains in his own words how much he is struggling to stick to this diet. It's hilarious, you root for him to succeed.
I should write a song. Instead of the 'Twelve days of Christmas,' it could be 'The twelve days of celibacy.
On the twelfth day of celibacy, my diet gave to me: One set of blue balls, two chafed hands, three holes I can't touch.....
Then we meet twenty five year old Sutton Presley she just recently inherited a hotel from her Grandfather a stones throw away from Pierce’s establishment. She is also a commitment phoebe and doesn’t tend to date a man longer than a month, she’s also the very first woman that has turned down Pierce.
Sutton has baggage of her own she's been hurt deeply in the past so the last thing she wants is to be another notch on Pierce's bedpost, to win her over he's got some serious work to do.
I didn't know the kind of man I wanted to be until I found the woman I wanted to be better for.
This book is so unique in it's entirety, I can not compare it to anything I have read before which is why this was an easy 5 star rating for me.
Being that it's in a male's POV just added to the whole uniqueness of it. Like me you'll probably end up having a love, hate, hate to love you relationship going on with Pierce, he's a man whore through and through, doesn't hide the fact, in fact in the beginning of the book he's arrogant and obnoxious but like peeling the layers on an onion as you delve further into the book his past plays a big part on the man he is today and you can't help but love who is is by the end of his journey. A refreshing, highly emotional, addictive read.

You know the story.
Boy meets girl, they fall in love, two kids, white picket fence.
This isn’t that story.
This is more like...
Man meets woman. Man sleeps with woman.
Man meets another woman, sleeps with her.
And so on. You get the idea.
I own a small boutique hotel in New Orleans, the Kingston. I’ve seen men do some stupid stuff in the name of the woman they love, or at least the woman they love for the night.
That’s not me. I’m always in control. You’d be surprised how much you can get away with on just good manners and a smile. It’s the only way to keep my secrets safely locked away.
And my smile hides a lot. Until her.
She turns me down flat. Playing hard to get is my favorite game. It’s the thrill of the chase.
Only problem is, I think it’s me that’s getting caught
