TITLE: The Solemn Vow
AUTHOR: Bree Dahlia
GENRE: Romance
PUBLICATION: July 11th, 2018
BASED ON A TRUE STORY
My first love ruined me.
My second love saved me.
I used to believe in for better or worse.
I used to believe in forsaking all others.
But now my husband is no longer the man I married.
And the man who took away my fairy tale wants to give it back.
The one who broke me has become my lifeline. The one who fixed me has become my toxin.
What happens when ‘till death do us part’ becomes a life sentence?
When you have to choose between shattering your vow and destroying yourself?
When your sin becomes your salvation?
This is the story of a love written in the stars as viewed from rock bottom.
*If cheating is a hard limit, please don’t read this book. But if you believe in the power of unconditional love and forgiveness, soulmates and second chances, I wrote this for you *
SOLEMN VOW:
Is a full length romance novel by NEW TO ME AUTHOR ‘Bree Dahlia’ Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’
When I saw this pop up on my newsfeed on facebook, it took only look at the cover, another look at the synopsis and I was off faster than flash to one click. As soon as I started this I didn’t want to put it down, to say I inhaled it is an understatement.
It’s hard to really pinpoint where things started going wrong for the married couple, I guess they were just in too over their heads with all the repairs and maintenance an old run down house required, Cain was running himself rugged, his temper would flair up at the drop of a hat without any apparent cause which would hurt Maddie then all lines of communication would shut down, but when they had good days their love shone brighter than the stars.
It’s not until you progress further into the book that things slowly make sense.
When things got rough Jack was the one that seemed to understand, who encouraged her, when her husband didn’t.
Jack is the boy who first stole her heart, the boy that broke her
This won’t be everyone’s cup of tea because as the author mentioned there is cheating involved in this book and let me tell you it is not glossed over. So heed that warning if this is a hard limit of yours.
So going into this I knew what to expect, but the turn in the story of their demise took me by surprise, that I did not see coming.
Cain is the boy that fixed her, the man that married her, but like her first heartache he’s also the man that broke her.
I wasn’t really rooting for either of the men, I didn’t really get a feel for Jack, as he was in her past, I felt their love but deeper than that it didn’t come to me, Cain went from a happy man to a volatile one in the flash of an eye, his story is what wrenched at my heart, the man she chooses in the end I’m happy with, it’s how it should’ve been, if you believe in second chances then this book will be up your alley.
