My Review
'WHERE THE LITTLE BIRDS GO'
is the first full length romance book in B. Celeste's new series. In this we meet & Kinley. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
First off let me start off by saying this author has grown, each book she's published is getting better and better and this book right here is no exception, from the story line, to the characters, to the quotes saved made for such a compelling unputdownable read. It flits from 'Past' to 'Present Time' flawlessly.
I loved spending time with these two in the 'Past' from the new boy around town, to the nerdy bookworm, who became friends that spent every waking moment with each other, bonding over 'Stephen King' movies whilst eating red twizzlers.
Both having dreams that seemed so out of reach but each supported the other no matter how far fetched it was. Corbin wanted to be an actor, imagining himself acting in one of Stephen Kings movies would've been his ultimate goal and leaving the small town behind him. Kinley had dreams of becoming an author, and spent many hours bent over a journal plotting scenes.
The best friend, the loving boyfriend, the heartbreaker.
It was only right that these two would progress into more..
Until Corbin rides off into the sunset to seek out his dreams leaving Kinley heartbroken behind in his dust.
Fast forward nine years and these two are side by side again. And both have accomplished their wildest dreams. One of Kinley's books has been adapted into a movie and Corbin is the main character acting out the scenes.
It was as though it was only yesterday, Kinley is still very much hurt from Corbins broken promises in the past and doesn't want anything to do with Corbin. Nothing is the same, but what is the same is the feelings they had before is still simmering away in the background waiting to be ignited again, only to do so would be stepping into forbidden territories.
We made a pact that we'd never leave each other behind.
