Synopsis
Viks stormed into my life and he wrecked it.
I know bad men. I know what they think. I know how they act. So trust me when I say, that of all the bad men in Eastpoint, I know Viks is the worst of them all.
I tried to be good. I tried to stay away. He kept pulling me back in.
Once a wicked man, always a wicked man.

I enjoyed this, but didn't love it, just a few things I was hoping more of was his side job, I wanted the nitty gritty side of him to show itself more, everyone was afraid of him, a dangerous man to stay away from was whispered from many people's lips, so I found that just a wee bit of a disappointment.
And everything just felt a wee bit insta for me and I'm sorry I don't do insta. She went from hating him to the next instant not, from nothing to the next instant everything so it felt too rushed for me. I needed more build up, more fire works between them, more background info on the both of them, we know nothing about her other than she is a collage student majoring in art.
Vik's works for a man who runs the town and one not to be crossed so when a new drug on the market is on his turf it's up to Viks to bring him down.
Haley despises everything Vik's stands for, she doesn't hide the fact that she can't stand him, it doesn't make it any easier though when he's her boss when she's put herself in the line of danger she's placed under Vik's protection and this is where things go from slow moving to fast paced so we kind of miss that build up between them.
With that cover and title I expected more..
Just because this book fell flat for me, others before me have loved it, as I said I don't do insta..
I'd be annoyed. If he's dangerous, SHOW me, don't just tell me about it!
