My Review
'𝐓H𝐄 𝐖I𝐋D𝐅L𝐎W𝐄R' Is the second full length romance book within the (Oakmount Elite) series by author J.L. Beck. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.' This is the continuation of Drew & Maybel's story so needs to be read in order.
This was the one book I’d been anticipating this month, as soon as it landed on my iPad I dived right in, I don’t even think I came up to breathe.
This picks up from where Maybel wakes up in the hospital after sustaining injuries from the last act in book 1, and where Drew spewed such horrific things to her severing their ties. Also losing a loved one but gaining a brother all in the same breath.
Like a dog without a bone Drew's main ambition was getting Maybel back, but to get her back he had to go face to face with Sebastian.
He never lost focus that she was his and had to do some serious grovelling to get back into her good graces, even when other things within his life were spiralling out of control.

And if I thought the first book was crazy, this book took it to a whole other level.

More drama
More secrets unfold
More twists and turns
And finally ‘The wallflower’ grew claws. She gave Drew as much back as he dished out. The push and pull is what I thrive on in my books, and this delivered tenfold.
We also see Sebastian step up and take on the role of Maybel's brother and he took that seriously, it showed us more into his alpha protective side we'd not seen until now and I can't wait to delve deeper into his character especially now that he's head of his empire.
