TITLE: INFAMOUS
GENRE: DARK SERIAL KILLER ROMANCE BOOK
AUTHOR: IRIS T. CANNON
PUBLICATION DATE: NOVEMBER 28TH, 2025
Synopsis
What happens when a man serving a life sentence is given a second chance?
For Lucian Cross, life ended the day the cell door slammed shut and the world called him a monster. Ten years into a life sentence, stripped of everything he ever loved, the man known as Ghost is nothing but a memory the world would rather forget.
Until the impossible happens.
The Gatti family offers him a resurrection - a new face, a new name, a new life carved from the ashes of the old one.
A chance to walk free in a world that forgot him.
But freedom comes with its own set of problems.
And no matter how many identities he sheds, the past refuses to stay buried.
Especially the ghost with violet eyes - the woman he once planned to marry.
The one whose absence still claws at him in the dark.
Lucian has been reborn.
But the dead don’t stay dead.
Because a second chance doesn’t make him a hero.
It makes him INFAMOUS.
This book can be read as a standalone dark romance, but for deeper context on Ghost, meet him first in the Gatti Enforcers books—Mason and Jayson. Trigger Warnings: Contains mature themes. Please read only what your mental health can handle.

My Review

Is a full length dark serial romance book by author Iris T. Cannon. Spoken in Dual POV's. Nadia & Lucian.
First it was seeing this pop up on my goodreads feed 5x in one day, throw in the cover, then the blurb and done deal. Once it was on my thirsty ipad game over, roll on bedtime..I'd also only just finished a book by her the day beforehand (which left me in a bit of a bookfunk to be honest) so I was beyond keen to jump right in, that first chapter and that saying (just one more chapter) was me to a Tee, what was only mean't to be a few pages before sleep claimed me in bed 1.00am rolled around and I was still going, the only indication to put it down and sleep was the thump of my ipad hitting my forehead.

Nadia Reed was a medical student attending Uni, in love, with a promise of marrying the love of her life, when out of the blue the rug is pulled out from under her and within the blink of an eye that man she thought she knew better than herself was now front and center broadcasted worldwide as the prime suspect on tv, a serial killer dubbed as the 'Ghost' because like a phantom he never leaves a clue or any trace of himself behind. She knew him as 28 year old Lucian Cross, a brilliant stock trader not as a ruthless killer they were describing. This isn't just the end of him. It's the end of us.
Incarcerated..On death row..
Incarcerated..On death row..
You think that's the end of there story? Your wrong..Their story is only just getting started..
I am so glad I discovered this author, being that this is only the second book I've read by her she fast became one I'm keeping an eye on. Her writing style, her use of words, her characters we end up loving and those feelings of loss when you close out that last page, her storylines which pull you in unawares.
This was soul crushing, dark, gritty, with lightness thrown around like confetti, these two soul mates no matter what life threw at them were destined to be together. Like a phoenix rising Ghost was put to rest and resurrected into a better version of himself but still his heart beat for one woman, years of incarceration couldn’t eradicate his love, it only made it stronger.
This kept my attention throughout, I couldn’t put it down, inhaled it like my life depended on it and have definitely fast become a fan of this authors.
