This started off in ‘Present Time’ a life without Cole, thinking it’s time to move on from the past she agrees to go on one date her sister pushed her into. The date is going nowhere fast just when it’s winding down they are interrupted by a visitor, he arrived on a whirlwind and left behind a storm.
He’s the first man that has awoken her soul since Cole. But no matter how hard she tries she can’t help comparing how similar and how different the two men are.

I didn't really click with Dani, she was like a crack whore searching for her next lay, I'm used to the male POV obsessing over sex but Dani kind of took the cake, she really frustrated me, one minute I'd be warming up to her character then in the next breath she's destroy it.
Trace gave me whiplash of the worst kind, he was hot and kind, he gave out mixed signals left right and center BUT at the end you understand why and all is forgiven in my Trace stupor. This guy won my heart and claimed it, alpha to a T.
He might be moody and layered with mixed signals, but there's something underneath it all, something behind the stuffy suits that calls to me, awakens me, makes my heart flutter like a baby bird.
Dani and Cole had a smooth sailing, easy loving relationship.
Dani and Trace had a toxic, mistrusting explosive turbulent relationship.
MY THOUGHTS: OMG where to begin, I feel like I’ve just been put in a straitjacket and thrown into a room full of screaming 5 year olds, I feel like I’ve been thrown into the washing machine on full speed and I don't quite fit through the wringer so I’m left discarded like a mangled mess, I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck and then come back to life in the form of a zombie. I feel fucked!!
This book threw me into a tailspin, like a car skidding on oil on a rainy wet day losing control as it tries to break. which way to turn the wheel Left is Cole Right is Trace.. GAH ok now that I’ve calmed my fucked up brain, this book quite literally gave me whiplash.
But that ending sent me to hell.
I had an inkling that this would end the way it did, I was prepared to fall down the rabbit hole of a cliffy but what I wasn’t prepared for was the mixed up turmoil going through my mind of first love or second chance. Damn I put myself through the wringer with the books I read lol.
