Unquestionably a unique, unputdownable utterly fantastic read!!
Holy Heck!! If I didn’t know the author there is no way I’d peg this as hers. This was completely different to what we’ve previously seen by her.
Our hero and Heroine are as different as chalk and cheese, but there's another character Chris who plays a significant role within this book too, a badly burnt, amnesiac victim, who suffers from PTSD and Paranoia he's just as damaged if not more so than our heroine Jersey.
Unquestionably a unique, unputdownable utterly fantastic read!!

I am nothing..insignificant..forgettable..no one would miss me if I died..no one would look for me if I was lost..No human has ever cried for me. I am unloved..
Jersey Six hasn't had the best upbringing, a tough street urchin who was raised in the system moving from six questionable foster homes after another, until she'd found herself under the care of the Russell's for six months but tragically they died in a hit and run. Which led her to running away and skipping out of the system at the age of fifteen. Doing whatever had to be done just to survive and for a morsel of food. To finding herself living in a run down gym 'Marleys' at the age of twenty four. She's as tough as nails, uncouth, rough around the edges, and will come at you swinging before you could even blink. Like a ninja with crazy knife throwing skills. She's perfectly imperfect.
Dropped off at the door to the fire station, on Christmas. And you were the sixth abandoned baby that month. A foot of umbilical cord was still attached to you, pointing to a trail of bloody tracks that led to a bus stop.
Thirty-one year old Ian Cooper our hero is a bit of an enigma, no one knows anything of his past, a rock star that's taken the world by storm. There's more to him than meets the eye. A man that seems to have it all.
Ian ran from clingy women, dodged anything too personal, skirted the issue of love, his past, and his fears. Until...Jersey.
Until a cute-meet at a local hot dog stand changes all lives significantly because out of the blue he offers Jersey a job, 'I'm going to show you the world.' Like a knight in shining armour he whisked her away from the life she knew into the glitz and glamour of a rock stars life, a true rags to riches Cinderella story. But where Jersey goes Chris goes too, they are a package deal. He's her new friend whom she befriended when he came into Marley's looking for a warm place to stay for the night.
I’m flabbergasted, and completely blown away by this book. This has taken unique to a whole new level. Twists and turns, that had me reeling, backtracking to re read over what I’d just read.
I loved this author before now it’s gone up a notch!!
Get ready to have your socks knocked off, nothing will prepare you for this unusual unique journey this author takes you on. Tragedy. Murder. Lies. Deception. Plotting. Revenge. This book has it all. A must read!!
