Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter
TITLE: Letters to Molly
SERIES: (Maysen Jar #2)
AUTHOR: Devney Perry
GENRE: Romance
PUBLICATION: June 18th, 2019

Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she’ll never forget.

Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.

The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.

Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.

Is the second full length romance novel in Devney Perry's 'Maysen Jar' series. In this we meet Molly and Finn. Spoken in Dual POV's.

We're first introduced to this couple (Molly & Finn) when Poppy, Molly's best friend (who we met in the first book) gets all her favourite people all in one place for dinner before Finn gets too busy with his last two semesters of school. And it was the perfect time for Finn to meet her new boyfriend Jamie.

From that first meet with Molly things moved relatively quickly to falling in love and finding themselves living the American dream. From marrying, buying their own home, to setting up their own business, to having two children (Kali & Max).

But along the way their American dream collapsed around them and they found themselves divorced, walls of communication had come tumbling down, both at fault, both hurt beyond repair, until there was nothing left to salvage and they are left to co-parent.

Some mistakes were unforgivable. Some mistakes ame with regret that lived like a monster in your soul.

NOW: They have been divorced for six years and three months, Molly was relatively happy being single and Finn seemed happy enough in the dating pool. She was working at 'The Maysen Jar' alongside her best friend Poppy.

But out of the blue a letter arrives in her mailbox, seemly written by Finn fifteen years ago after their very first date which he'd never given to her..She's even more surprised when more start arriving up and with them has her eyes opening up to what may have been the catalyst to their break up. And the thing is Finn actually isn't the one sending them to her, they were apparently taken from his apartment.

They've made us talk through some old arguments. Relive some good moments I think it's healed a lot of the wounds we inflicted on one another.

These letters had me looking at Finn in a whole new light..I grew to love him, I hurt alongside him, I rooted for their journey to come back together as a whole. This was such a beautiful heartfelt second chance romance.

I went into this one completely blind, but on tippy toe, not really knowing what to expect. I loved the previous book so I was hoping I’d love this one just as much. And I did!! This story was perfectly imperfect, it was heartbreakingly beautiful, a roller coaster of emotional turmoil as the author threw all that she could at me.

As soon as I started this I was hooked, the author just nailed it, the perfect combination of past and present, the journey these two took us on hit me in the feels. I felt everything! Such an utterly unique story that once started I couldn't put it down.
