This book was such a gut wrenching hit you in the feels, make those eyes leak kind of read, tissues on the ready, giggling, swooning, rage, sadness, every emotion known to human kind hit me as I read this. Such a unique, thought provoking journey, a beautiful story which will stay in my heart for a very long time.
(Past) This story focuses on a fairy tale kind of love between Emmett and Tatum, Emmetts the guy who stole Tatum from another guy that she was set up with on a blind date. Emmett the thief ❝𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞. 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭. 𝐁𝐚𝐝. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫.❞ They were recklessly in love, taking risks, travelling, to having kids and settling down with the whole white picket fence.
(Present Time) 😢We slowly learn what went so wrong between these two, it will tragically gut you. Emmett not once stopped loving Tatum, she was his beginning and his end. It was a promise he made between the two which split them apart. But it was a promise he'd make again even knowing the outcome. It only took 30 seconds for their marriage to fall apart.
My heart was ripped to shreds for the family, for the one that walked away and for the two left behind. For the one that held a secret, for the other that needed time.
This book cut me to the bone, I hated, I raged, I understood, I empathised, I couldn't comprehend the pain, the hurtful non spoken accusations, I could see everything unfold as it happened.
