༺ 𝐀𝐑𝐂 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 ༺ An Honest Lie by Tarryn Fisher

TITLE: AN HONEST LIE
AUTHOR: TARYN FISHER
GENRE: THRILLER
PUBLICATION: APRIL 26TH, 2022
SYNOPSIS
“I’m going to kill her. You’d better come if you want to save her.”

Lorraine—“Rainy”—lives at the top of Tiger Mountain. Remote, moody, cloistered in pine trees and fog, it’s a sanctuary, a new life. She can hide from the disturbing past she wants to forget.

If she’s allowed to.

When Rainy reluctantly agrees to a girls’ weekend in Vegas, she’s prepared for an exhausting parade of shots and slot machines. But after a wild night, her friend Braithe doesn’t come back to the hotel room.

And then Rainy gets the text message, sent from Braithe’s phone: someone has her. But Rainy is who they really want, and Rainy knows why.

What follows is a twisted, shocking journey on the knife-edge of life and death. If she wants to save Braithe—and herself—the only way is to step back into the past.

This seething, gut-punch of a thriller can only have sprung from the fiendish brain of Tarryn Fisher, one of the most cunning writers of our time.

MY REVIEW
📚 AN HONEST LIE 📚
Is a full length psychological thriller by Tarryn Fisher

There were more twists and turns in this book than a roller coaster as we delved into our heroines past where she was aged thirteen living in a cult situation with her mother after her father had overdosed on drugs, with nowhere to go her mother turns back to her childhood friend not realising the danger she was placing them both in.

To present time, where Rainy is a well established artist who'd just recently uprooted herself from New York to Washington to live with her partner Grant. It's here where she's welcomed into an electric group of friends who call themselves 'The Tiger Mountain Group' it's whilst in this group setting that a girls trip to Vegas is brought up begrudgingly Rainy does agree to join them.

It’s not long before the past and present both overlap and collide.

This was inhaled in no time at all, pulled in like the knack which this author seems to effortlessly excel at. One thing you can rely can with this author is every book is unpredictable and unique, and this book was no different, I never knew which way this book was going to go. This had so much depth, the storyline just wowed me.
