In fact, she thinks I hate her. Probably because I've worked hard to make her feel unwelcome.
Wren knows I don't want her in my family. At least not as my son's wife. What she doesn't know is the reason why.
See, I want her for myself. It should be my ring on her finger, not his.
When my son betrays her, I'm there to pick up the pieces.
I can't resist her any longer, but just because she isn't his doesn't mean I can keep her.
After all, two wrongs don't make a right.
Is a full length forbidden romance novel by new to me author Kimberly Carrillo. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' Wren (23 years old) Liam (23 years old) Griffin (42 years old)
Going into this I had my expectations switched onto all those angsty rip the heart out heart strings. Sadly those eluded me, but what I got instead was a book which had me within its grip as soon as I started it and didn't let go until that very last page was turned. This was written well, easy to get into, connect with the characters and hard to put down storyline. I loved these characters journey. This definitely won't be the last book I'll be reading by this author.

Straight away we're thrown into the midst of a marriage breakdown, if an absent husband on their five year anniversary wasn't bad enough add in the fact that she catches him in the act with his pants around his ankles in the backseat of his car was the last straw for Wren, taking off those rose coloured glasses made her realise that things had been been going down a slippery slope with her husband for a very long time.
Throw in the hot father in law Griffin when he's there in her time of need she's thrown into a tailspin when it comes to light that he's always had a soft spot for her which he'd had to hide for years behind his gruff attitude towards her. So for him to step in and help her through everything was unexpectant.
In my eyes Liam (the husband) for all his wrongs and there's more than a handful here didn't redeem himself, I didn't see him fix the wrongs he'd done, grovel wasn't in his vocabulary, and his father was ten times the man he was. But all in all everyone got their very own HEA.
