Is a full length standalone romance novel by Dylan Allen. In this we meet Hayes & Confidence

The River’s come from old money, they made their fortune from sugar, oil and natural gas.

By virtue of being a Rivers, you’ll have people who try to get close to you just to use you for money or access something they perceive as a gatekeeper of.

When fourteen year old Hayes’ father dies from a brain tumor it sets the ball rolling and before he knows it he’s been exiled for sixteen years to live with an aunt he’s never met in Italy, Leaving all he knows behind, but it will be where he’ll be safe from his uncle who wants to get his hands on his fortune, now at thirty he’s right back where he belongs, ready to take back his throne.

Being at a wedding he’s only attending on behalf of his Aunt is where he meets Confidence in an elevator, their second meeting doesn’t go down too well, he's been bitten before and pegs her as a gold digger, words are exchanged and things escalate out of control which made for hilarious, unique reading and at this stage I was hooked on the story.

But it's at this wedding that made the perfect setting for these two to meet otherwise their paths wouldn't of crossed in normal circumstances due to them coming from two different worlds, even though their second run in was tumultuous, a situation has her clinging to him and him rescuing her out of the predicament she finds herself in. That was the turnaround, a bond was forged between the two.

Confidence comes from a completely different world than Hayes, raised in a dysfunctional family situation with her mother raising her alongside the town she lived in, and her mother working herself to the bone to allow Constance to go to college. Things don't always run smoothly for Constance, she lands her first job in a prestigious lawyers firm but things there didn't go to plan and she finds herself blacklisted and unemployed. Attending the wedding is her last hurrah before having to move back home to her mothers.

I devoured this, inhaled it, couldn't put it down even if my life depended on it, there was no way in hell I was going to, straight away your pulled into the storyline, you connect with the characters, then you fully fall in love with them, I giggled, I swooned, I loved, I didn't want it to end. Twists and turns, heartbreak and makeups, steamy sexy times that would have even a nun panting after Hayes, dirty, alpha, powerful, arrogant, everything that embodies what us girls like in a book boyfriend. Such a unique, un-put-downable, all-consuming read. Highly recommend this!!
