Synopsis
She calls it a devil’s bargain. I call it a deal she can’t refuse.
I was owed a debt and I expected payment.
That payment?
One night in my bed. My rules. The debt cleared, and she could walk away.
There are worse things. And besides, debtors can’t be choosers.
The night started as it should. She obeyed as she should.
But then something happened. Something I was wholly unprepared for. And what I saw changed everything.
I broke my own rules after that. And I didn’t keep my end of the bargain.
Because walking away was no longer an option I would grant her, no matter the cost.

Kat's Review
THE DEVIL'S BARGAIN:
Is a full length, semi dark romance novel by Natasha Knight. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
In this we meet Hawk MacLeod, he was a ruthless businessman who always gets what he wants & Melissa Doe, the girl with no past, these two were as different as chalk and cheese. She doesn't belong in his world. Where men like Hawk rule and woman are put on auction blocks to be sold to the highest bidder.
Wow, I pretty much inhaled this one!! So easy to get into, so hard to put down!!
The hero Hawk was a hard character to get a grasp on, he was a challenge to connect with. He often ran cold, but now and then as you progressed further into the story you’d see a caring side emerge, one that strove to take care of his possession, even if sometimes it was unorthodox, so it did take me a while to warm up to his character. In the end he wasn’t the hardass I pegged him to be though.
His weakness was her.
It was only ever mean't to be ONE NIGHT to clear a debt owed but a deal with the devil became so much more!!
I connected with our heroine straight off the bat, beautifully broken and damaged but stronger than she gave herself credit for. Running from a past that wanted to get its claws into her again.
I enjoyed how the author didn't incorporate a virgin into the storyline, taking that aspect ouf of the equation made it that much more special, that much more unique, that much more enjoyable. For me this was a slow burn but let me tell you it didn't take me long to fall under Hawks spell.
