Don’t let that pretty face of his fool you. He isn’t the boy next door, or the kind you trust with your heart. He’s the devil in designer jeans, with all the charm of a bona fide psycho.
Trust me.
He swears I did something to cross him before I even stepped foot inside Cypress Prep, but it’s a lie. No one knows better than me that I’m all out of chances. One more misstep and I can kiss my future goodbye, which means I can’t possibly be guilty of whatever he thinks I’ve done.
West marks me with a target anyway, and as this town’s football star, no one dares to go against him. His money, status, and the loyalty of his equally entitled brothers makes him seem untouchable. Only, I know better than that.
This false god isn’t infallible like he wants the world to believe. Whenever I stare into those devilish green eyes, I see it plain as day. The chink in his armor. His one and only weakness.
Me.
The King of Cypress Prep has finally met his match and taking him down just became an inside job.
After picking up and putting down a few books in a row, this was the one which pulled me out of my funk and grabbed my attention from the get go. Twists and turns had me inhaling this in record time wanting to see how the author would wrap it all up, loving the storyline, our strong heroine and our hot and cold hero made for a riveting slow burn read.
These two were like a tennis match with their too and fro barbs, fighting the attraction which sizzled in the background, neither wanting to cave. Secrets were withheld, lines were drawn and like a domino effect it all came falling down around their ears.
Blue was the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, a mother MIA a drunk father and a sister she was left to raise like she was her own.
West and his two brothers (triplets) come from money, a father caught with his pants down more times than up, withholding secrets close to his chest, but one oversight with a photo picturing Blue which could break up West's family had me burning with up with curiosity.
I loved the unique take on 'Gossip Girl' where a media influencer posted discriminating evidence on line via an app which targeted our Golden boy and Southside Blue
All I asked for was an angst filled read and this one delivered in spades, thankful that the next book within this series is released and I'm not stuck down that brutal cliffy!!
Highly recommend 👍👍👍👍
Nothing puts the final bullet in a girl’s rep like a leaked sex tape. Especially one starring her and the cocky quarterback who’s had it out for her since day one. Yep, you guessed it. That girl is me.
At Cypress Prep, West is king, but all I see when I look at him is the wicked prick who gets off on trying to break me.
His plaything.
Go ahead. Give him a round of applause for winning that last round, but know this--hell hath no fury like a girl from the south side with a baseball bat.
Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice… over my dead body.
Holy Crap!! This series is so good. It kick started off where the first book left off, another slow burn which got its hooks into me taking me hostage as the storyline took me down paths I never expected to take and like an adrenaline junky I was loving this intense ride! What a way to bring in the 'New Year' So many twist and turns, so many hurdles these two had to jump through to just be together.
❝ I'm always aware of him, like he's always aware of me-two opposite sides of a magnet, drawn to each other because we're so vastly different. ❞
This was completely different compared to the first book where bullying was the main focus, this one there was zilch as its main focal point was on West trying to redeem himself after the leaked sex tape and trying to stop Blue from slipping through his fingers. This wrung so many feels out of me and I can't wait to see how the authors go about wrapping up the last book!!
Am I the only one who would love to read her brother and Ricky's stories?
If you've had your eye on this series and haven't taken that leap yet, this comes highly recommended by yours truly (4 thumbs up by me) 👍👍👍👍
