A Sky Full of Secrets (Cosmic Love #1) by Briana Pacheco
TITLE: A Sky Full of Secrets
SERIES: (Cosmic Love #1)
AUTHOR: Briana Pacheco
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
RELEASE DATE: April 3rd, 2017
Months after getting kicked out of college my senior year, I made a split decision and moved in with my best friend and his roommate, Nix.
I never thought I'd try the whole 'friends with benefits' thing with Phoenix, but he didn't seem to mind when I offered up the idea.
We promised no feelings would get involved.
We lied to each other, to ourselves.
In his eyes, I wasn't just the deaf girl or the family burden. I was beautiful and smart and a bit crazy with some anger issues which he overlooked because to him, I was normal.
We were never supposed to be more, but you can't fight that pull when the stars align.
We are fire and water.
Stars and the moon.
Phoenix and Luna.
This is the story of how a man who loves everything showed a girl how to love herself.
I LOVE this COVER!! It's absolutely GORGEOUS!! Even the authors teasers are gorgeous which I've used below in my review..Briana Pacheco is a new author to me

A SKY FULL OF SECRETS: This story focuses on ‘Phoenix & Luna’ and is spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’
This is a story about how a man who loves everything shows a girl how to love herself.
At an early age Luna got severely sick with meningitis which ultimately resulted in her becoming deaf in both ears. Through struggling and saving up her family paid for her to have cochlear implants which allowed for her to hear to a certain degree.
Sometimes she just prefers the silence to all the noise, she’s closed herself from the world and mainly her family as she’s always felt like a burden.
Moving in with her best friend Mackenzie and his best friend Phoenix seemed like a godsend which allowed her to get out from under her parents feet, and this is where Luna comes into herself. Her roommates push her to become the person we see by the end of the book, instead of the girl who always thought she was a freak.
Her name suits her, like the moon, a part of her always hiding.
She's always closed herself off to love, it's not that no one could love her, it's the opposite, she's always felt like she can't offer anyone anything because of her deafness and her parents failing marriage.
Love is a disease and it baffles me how easily people get infected. I compare love to a zombie outbreak, one bite from the infected and a person's life is changed. Love and I we're on opposite sides of the galaxy. I'm pretty sure that bitch is hiding in a black hole to avoid me.
It's not until she propositions Phoenix to become her fuck buddy with no strings where lines start becoming blurred. He was such the perfect match for her, he showed her that she was perfect the way she is, she's just different, and different is good.
This took me a while to get into, for some reason I just wasn’t connecting with the storyline or the characters and at one stage I was even thinking about leaving it and coming back to it, but a few more chapters and I found myself fully connecting and enjoying this journey of Luna’s story and how Phoenix became her guiding light in so much sadness and darkness and I am so happy I persevered with this book because it's truly a story that I feel needs to be read.
I truly think many could get a few life lessons from this book.
The hearing kids made fun of me. Deaf kids made me feel like I betrayed them for having the opportunity to hear.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this book I can't wait to read more from this author.
